With over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, Matt has a demonstrated history of working alongside and advocating for multidisciplinary healthcare providers across the care continuum. As Senior Director, Advocacy and Strategic Alliances at PhRMA, Matt works with healthcare providers, patient advocacy organizations, and a diverse array of other stakeholder groups to drive patient-centered progress in innovation, affordability, and access to life saving prescription drugs. Specifically, Matt specializes in policy and strategy in Medicare Parts B and D, Inflation Reduction Act implementation, health technology assessment, health insurance reform, chronic disease management, and prescription drug importation.
Prior to joining PhRMA, Matt led federal policy and advocacy for the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC). In setting policy priorities and driving advocacy initiatives for ACCC, Matt sought to enhance cancer care delivery and promote health equity across rural, urban, and underserved settings. He also represented the association in front of Congress and the Administration to improve access to comprehensive cancer care, support the oncology workforce, and reshape reimbursement to better meet the needs of cancer care providers and their patients.
Matt earned his Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from The George Washington University and his Bachelor’s degree in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology from Harvard University.
